Elmbridge Museum archaeological mini - dig

This month Elmbridge Museum took part in Elmbridge Borough Council’s Shout! activity scheme and created a mini- dig to introduce 21 children to the exciting world of archaeology. The participants learnt about the local excavation sites of Oatlands Palace and the Roman Bathhouse in Cobham, discovered the meaning behind obscure archaeological terms and got hands on experience by excavating a site. The children then used their investigative skills to record their findings and presented their ideas back to the group.
