Getting in a Monstrous mood for Halloween!

This month the participants of the Museum Family Fun workshop got into the spooky spirit and created their own Halloween monsters out of objects from Elmbridge Museum’s collection. They then turned these creations into monster cartoons and experimented with drawing their creatures showing happy and angry emotions. The children also used their spooky storytelling skills and wrote a short story about the monster characters they created which could be turned into their very own cartoon strip.

The museum staff were very impressed by the children’s imagination and truly terrified by some of the wonderful Halloween monsters they came up with!

‘Creepy Cartoons’ was part of a series of Family Fun events held by Elmbridge Museum once a month on Saturday between 2:00-4:30pm. Our next workshop, "Fantastic Curly Wig", is on Saturday 5th November. Discover how the Georgians used a secret language using their fluttering fans and create your own Georgian curly wig!
