In 2020, ‘It’s Not Your Birthday But’ gained funding to work with 20 isolated people in our community. This new project planned to record their experiences of the global Covid-19 pandemic whilst they were having their portrait drawn live.
With the support of Elmbridge Museum, volunteers undertook oral history training in preparation for the interviews. The 20 portraits by artist Erika Flowers have now been put on display at Elmbridge’s Civic Centre, alongside extracts from each interview.
