Historical Talk: The History of Walton Bridge
This talk looks at the fascinating history of the six bridges that have spanned the Thames between Walton and Shepperton. This story involves two world famous artists, assorted other famous people, a dramatic collapse and long standing ‘temporary’ bridges.
This talk will be delivered by Nick Pollard, curator of Spelthorne Museum, Chairman of Sunbury and Shepperton Local History Society, and the author of ‘The History of Walton Bridge’.
