Milk

With its headquarters located in Thames Ditton, the Milk Marketing Board stood proud for over 60 years. Established in 1933 to stabilise the price of milk for farmers, the Milk Marking Board not only acted as a buyer, it marketed, advertised and transported the UK's milk as well as investing in cutting-edge agricultural and veterinary techniques.

From the 1950s onward, the MMB's advertising arm bought the slogans 'is your man getting enough?', 'drinka pinta milka day' and 'milk's gotta lotta bottle' into households via the radio and television. The Milk Race, as it became known, was the result of the longest cycle sponsorship in UK history - the MMB's sponsorship of the Tour of Britain between 1958 and 1993.
