The museum holds a fine, regionally significant, collection of dress, textiles and accessories. It contains almost 6,000 items of men's, women's and children's clothes and accessories dating from around 1750 to the late 20th century. These artefacts tell us much about changes in style, fashion and fabrics as well as offering fascinating insights into social history.
